Locally-made ice-cream hits sweet spot at HEART
Margaret River HEART and Millers Ice Cream have collaborated to bring a new local product to the market.
The development of Millers’ new Choc Bomb follows a request from the community for the Margaret River HEART to sell locally made ice-cream, and Millers owner Trish Miller said she was delighted to have been involved.
Millers Ice Cream owner Trish Miller said she was thrilled to learn patrons were loving the new offering, which are available in chocolate and vanilla.
“They wanted to sell ice-creams but wanted something local and needed something individually packaged,” she said.
“It took a bit of trial and error, but we came up with our Choc Bombs.
“It’s really important for us to be able to offer locally made produce to both our community and visitors to region.
“Everyone wants a little piece of Margaret River, whether you’re eating and drinking our local produce, or enjoying an ice-cream at the theatre, and we’re keen to be expanding our offering in that regard.”
HEART General Manager, Nicky Hansen said Millers Choc Bombs are just one more example of how Local-is-More and how easy it is for us to give support to local traders.
This month is #LiveLocal Month and there are plenty of ways to support the hard-working small businesses in our community.
