Spacecubed finds perfect venue

The Margaret River HEART has witnessed a steady and welcomed increase in venue booking s for small meetings and networking events from industry associations and commercial businesses.

Members from Perth -based collaborative working network Spacecubed converged in Margaret River over the weekend to attend a program facilitating the growth of emerging entrepreneurs.

Spacedcubed Head of Technology Sales Kali Norman said the Spacecubed team were coming down from Perth and needed a modern, artistic and functional venue for a small business networking event.

30 delegates met at the Margaret River HEART Foyer Gallery on Saturday to use the venues indoor and outdoor spaces.

“The HEART team were super helpful, and the venue space is amazing”, Ms Norman said.

“The South-West is lucky to have a beautiful space like the HEART for people to meet play and be entertained.

“We can’t wait to come back again.”

Margaret River HEART General Manager Nicky Hansen said whilst the business events industry has taken a huge hit nationally with the COVID-19 restrictions on gatherings, the venue has noticed people still willing to meet face-to-face, as long as there is sufficient space to do so.

“We’re fortunate that the region now has a large venue that provides an opportunity to meet safely”, Ms Hansen said.

“Data indicates that 57 per cent of business travellers will extend their stay by an extra one to two days to stay for leisure purposes.

“They spend more and tend to re-visit the region with family and friends.

“Encouraging business meetings that bring visitation is really important, especially when they visit mid-week.”
