Proposed development for Margaret River’s first five-star hotel
Following the Premier’s announcement on Tuesday, Margaret River is set for its first five-star hotel, with the southern headland of Gnarabup Beach earmarked for the development of a resort, short-stay villas, apartments and permanent residential dwellings.
The proposed development of The Westin Margaret River Resort & Spa intends to create about 300 jobs during construction and approximately 100 ongoing local jobs once open in 2023.
With 120 guest rooms, on-site dining venues, and meeting and event space, the joint development of the project will be carried out by WA companies Saracen Properties and Security Capital Australia in partnership with Marriott International.
